I’m Elaine Hill, the principal bookkeeper behind Detail-Driven Bookkeeping Services.

For decades, I’ve worked at the intersection of bookkeeping, business operations, and practical problem-solving. I spent 25 years managing the financial and administrative side of an established service business and later founded CompuTrail, where I provided bookkeeping support, customized reporting, computer training, and business systems development.

Today, I provide virtual bookkeeping for service businesses and law firms using QuickBooks Online and Clio Manage. My work includes monthly reconciliations, catch-up and cleanup projects, financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable support, and law-firm operating and trust-account bookkeeping.

I recently completed a 14-month operating and trust-account cleanup and reconciliation project that helped a New Jersey personal injury law firm prepare successfully for its attorney trust-account audit.

I like numbers to make sense. I look beyond transaction entry to identify discrepancies, understand what caused them, and give clients financial information they can actually use.
